Work experience: …………. is a very important part of learning.
Work experience can be a great help if you’re still wondering what sort of career you want.
A work placement is your opportunity to spend time outside the classroom, learning about a particular job or area of work.
During your placement, you’ll be able to find out what skills and experience employers look for in potential employees.
You will also get the chance to develop your self-confidence and communication skills.
This will help you to work better in a team situation.
we are very pleased to have been able to offer this facility to many of our local and not so local schools and colleges.
At hawkridge bird of prey centre you will be treated as any other employee, you will be given an induction on your first day which will include rules of the centre, health and safety requirements first aid and fire drill.
you will be introduced to the birds, and given the daily procedures /job description.
your time will be spent learning how to safely handle and look after birds of prey, the importance of weight and diet control, good husbandry and equipment making.
